CSU lecturer looking to change student nurses’ attitudes to working in aged care

A Charles Sturt University (CSU) lecturer is working to break down the stigma nursing students have about working in aged care. Doctor Maree Bernoth says few students aspire to work in the industry finding it mundane, basic and irrelevant.

By 2050 we're going to need a 250 per cent increase in carers across Australia. So it is significant as someone who's developing aged care workers that we address attitudes and we address how students think about older people.
